Black Ball
BLACK BALL In 2003, Alicia Keys co-founded Keep a Child Alive, which supports children and their families living with HIV and AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa and India. The Black Ball is the primary fundraiser for KCA, and Earle oversaw all aspects of the affair for a decade, including the red carpet, art installations, dinner, auction, and musical performances. For an afrofuturism theme, Earle designed a three-headed African robot who could facilitate the auction from stage. In other iterations, Earle collaborated with David Bowie, Sade, Kanye West, and Mark Ronson on live performances.
